Why Nitish is not giving up ‘khaini’ chewing habit? SuMo asks

Patna,(BiharTimes): Hitting back on behalf of party chief Amit Shah former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Sunday asked chief minister Nitish Kumar that if he practises yoga why was he not able to overcome the habit of chewing “khaini” (tobacco)?

In a statement SuMo said that it was due to his tobacco-chewing addiction that the chief minister has never taken part in a tobacco prohibition campaign.

Nitish’s former deputy asked him why the state government was not organising a function on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21 at the request of the Centre if he believed in the virtues of the fitness regime?

“When the entire world will be observing International Yoga Day on June 21 next, will there be no official event in Bihar for promotion of the fitness regime?” Sushil Modi questioned.

Reacting to the chief minister’s ‘56-inch chest’ remarks aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the senior BJP leader said that Nitish was finding fault with the military success in Myanmar too.

It needs to be recalled that a day earlier Nitish teasingly asked Amit Shah to practise yoga in privacy considering his health. He flayed the BJP for enacting a drama in the name of yoga.

Till now the BJP leaders have been ridiculing Lalu Prasad for eating ‘khaini’ but it is perhaps for the first time that SuMo has exposed this weakness of his former boss. It is other thing that several BJP leaders too are addict to it.
