SuMo seeks apology from Ramdhani within seven days

Patna,(BiharTimes): A day after health minister Ramdhani Singh’s allegation senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday sought an unconditional apology from him (the minister) within seven days for accusing his wife, Jessie George, of producing fake certificates to get a job in Teachers’ Training College under Patna University.

Talking to the media SuMo threatened that his wife, now the principal of the College, would file a defamation suit against the health minister if the latter failed to seek apology in public within a week.

“If my wife did something wrong, let there be an inquiry. Her degrees are genuine and are from reputable institutions and universities in Mumbai and Patna,” the former deputy CM said.

He questioned as to why the government had not initiated action against his wife even after almost 12 years of her job. She was appointed as a lecturer in 2003 when Rabri Devi was the chief minister.

Before that she was a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kankarbagh, in Patna.

She is MSc, MEd and PhD from Patna University.

Sushil Modi said that such allegations would not deter him from his path and would continue to expose cases of irregularities and corruption as in the past.

It needs to be recalled that Modi had demanded the dismissal of the health minister earlier this week for allegedly misusing his office to appoint his daughter as a librarian at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. The health minister's daughter, Anita Kumari, resigned from the post on Tuesday after much hue and cry.
