C P Thakur fkays Advani’s statement on Emergency

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former Union minister Dr C P Thakur on Friday became the first BJP leader of Bihar to flay the Emergency-like situation statement of the party patriarch, Lal Krishna Advani.

Speaking at a public meeting at Singheshwar Sthan in Madhepura district he said to rid an administration free from corruption and to make arrangements to check corruption cannot be taken as signs of Emergency-like situation.

He further said to observe rule of law and to perform within the boundaries of law cannot be deemed as an indication that Emergency is coming to India.

Without taking anyone’s name he also took a dig at chief minister Nitish Kumar for supporting Advani’s remarks.

Meanwhile, former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi alleged that Nitish Kumar had imposed ‘undeclared Emergency’ in the state, as he had been trying to control even private publicity network, including advertisement through bill boards.

He accused Nitish of using government agency for publicity drive during the legislative council election to 24 local bodies seats.
