Patna,(BiharTimes): Responding to LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan’s opposition to the entry of five Hindustani Awam Morcha MLAs, including Narendra Singh, into the NDA former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Sunday urged the Union food minister not to raise the old issues keeping in mind the bigger battle against the combine of Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad.
Talking to the media later in the day Manjhi said that it is up to them (LJP) whether they would support or oppose, but they should not bring up old issues.
Manjhi said he was going to speak to Ram Vilas and sort out this issue within the NDA.
As reported Ram Vilas Paswan had earlier in the day said that he would welcome Manjhi in the NDA, but not former agriculture minister Narendra Singh, his sons and two other MLAs, as they backstabbed the LJP way back in May 2005 and with 18 MLAs crossed over to the JD(U).
