RLSP’s challenge to BJP, declares Upendra Kushwaha as CM nominee

Patna,(BiharTimes): On the day the BJP chief Amit Shah is in Patna drawing his party’s electoral strategy the national executive of the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party, in an unanimous resolution on Sunday, declared party chief and Union minister of state for human resources development, Upendra Kushwaha, as the chief ministerial candidate of the National Democratic Alliance.
Not only that the party staked claim on 67 seats for the coming Assemblyelection in Bihar. It also demanded 74 seats for the Lok Janshakti Party leaving just 102 seats for the BJP. It was the same number of seats the BJP contested in the 2010 Assembly election.
The RLSP has left not a single seat for Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha.
The RLSP’s posture has come as a surprise as, it has in a way, poured cold water into the BJP’s plan to contest around 185 seats and accommodate the HAM.
