Bihar minister denies government violating Model Code of Conduct

Patna,(BiharTimes): Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Saturday denied that that Badh Chala Bihar was violating the Model Code of Conduct as election to 24 local body seats of the Bihar legislative council is schedule on July 7.
The mass contact programme being conducted under the aegis of his department for the preparation of Vision- 2025 of the state government, was launched by chief minister Nitish Kumar on June 9.
According to the minister its two components are dissemination of achievements made by the state government during the last ten years, and getting feedback from people for prioritization of development programmes and measures to be executed over the next 10 years.
The Election Commission took this action a couple of days after a BJP delegation led by former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi had on Thursday submitted a memorandum to state chief electoral officer, A V Nayak. It claimed the Vision-2025 programme violated the Model Code of Conduct.
