Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government on Monday transferred eight IPS officers, including the SSP of Patna.

Vikas Vaibhav (2003 batch) is the new Patna SSP, replacing Jitender Rana who has been made SP, East Champaran in place of Sunil Kumar, who has been made Assistant IG, Railways.

Vaibhav has been waiting for posting after his return from central deputation––he was serving in NIA.
He was associated with the NIA team which investigated Gandhi Maidan serial blasts during Hunkar rally on Oct 27, 2013 and Bodh Gaya temple blast.

Ratan Sanjay Katiyar, who was waiting for posting, has been made DIG, Magadh Range, replacing Shalin, who has been made DIG, Central Range.

Upendra Kumar Sinha, DIG (Central Range) is the new DIG, BMP (Central Range).

Vaishali SP Chandrika Prasad has been shifted to Bihar Police Academy, Patna, as Assistant Director (Training). City SP, Gaya, Rakesh Kumar has been made SP, Vaishali.
