Another ‘purification’ allegation by Manjhi, this time against Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): The outgoing chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Saturday made another ‘purification’ allegation––this time against chief minister Nitish Kumar.A month after visiting a temple in Madhubani district in August last the then chief minister Manjhi charged that it was washed after he had offered prayer in it. The BJP then strongly criticized him for his remarks as he had not substantiated it.

Now, while addressing his supporters at S K Memorial Hall on Saturday he said that Bihar Niwas in New Delhi was washed with “Ganga Jal” (Ganga water) after his visit so that Nitish Kumar could stay there. How could Nitish stay at such a place where others have stayed? He is of such mentality, Manjhi said.

Stating that the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) would prove ‘baap’ (father) of AAP Manjhi said he did not take the floor test to prove his majority in the Assembly because he did not want to jeopardise the life and career of MLAs who, according to him, were weak and poor.

The former CM also demanded a probe into the source of money that was spend to take JD(U) MLAs to Delhi and keep them at a five-star resort.Debunking any political motive to his meeting with Narendra Modi he said he met the Prime Minister to discuss a canal from Ganga near Chunar in Uttar Pradesh to southern districts of Bihar.

When Nitish shakes hands with Narendra Modi nothing is said.Manjhi’s charge on the purification of Bihar Niwas is being accepted with a pinch of salt in the political circle as he cannot substantiate the similar allegation he made after visiting a temple in Madhubani district.Though he stayed in power for six months after his trip to that temple the probe team announced by him could not come up with any report.
