Panel recommends action against former Kaimur SP in sexual exploitation case


Patna,(BiharTimes): A four-member committee headed by Vigilance Investigation Bureau IG Anupama Nilekar has recommended disciplinary action against the former Kaimur SP, Pushkar Anand after it found charges of sexual exploitation against him true.


The accusation was made by the then Bhabhua DSP Nirmala Kumari. The committee found the conduct of Anand unbecoming of an all-India services officer. At present he is posted as Commandant of Mountain Military Police, Ara.


The lady DSP had earlier complained to the Kaimur mahila police station that Pushkar Anand sexually exploited her after promising to marry her.

She had also sent a copy of her complaint to the police headquarters. It is after this that DGP P K Thakur to order an investigation.Apart from Anupama Nilekar, SP (Women Cell) Harpreet Kaur, a woman representative from an NGO and Madhubani SP Rajesh Kumar were the member of the Committee.As reported Pushkar had, in a reply to a show-cause notice
served on him, said he was being framed in a false case.
