Patna,(BiharTimes): The state cabinet on Thursday cleared a Rs 900 crore proposal of the rural works department for construction of around 230 bridges and culverts all over the state. The government would draw the money from NABARD through loan for the 2014-15.

Apart from this, the cabinet approved Rs 112 crore proposal of the water resources department for construction of a canal parallel to the Sone Canal. The cabine also gave its approval to the state finance recommendation for Rs 230.34 crore to urban civic bodies.

The cabinet authorized the chief minister for the selection of chairman and two members of Bihar Public Sservice Commission.The Women’s Empowerment Policy was also brought for approval, but the chief minister reportedly advocated a detailed presentation and consultation before bringing it to the cabinet.
An announcement regarding it is expected to be made on the occasion of Bihar Diwas.
