Patna,(BiharTimes): Former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, claimed on Thursday that he is very much in the Janata Dal (United) and that Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) was just one of the frontal organizations of the party.Talking to the media at his Gaya home he said he would get HAM registered as an organization under the Societies Registration Act. However, he hastened to add that HAM would do in Bihar what AAP did in Delhi.

In fact AAP is an in independent political party and not a front of any party.He claimed that he would fight for restoration of internal democracy in the party.Manjhi said his expulsion from the party was improper and that he is still a member of the JD(U).

Though Manjhi accepted Sharad Yadav as his leader, he said it was unfortunate that the latter had allowed the party to become captive to chief minister Nitish Kumar. The former CM sought constitution of JD(U) Parliamentary Board as the first step towards democratization of the party.
