Patna,(BiharTimes): RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav has urged his party chief Lalu Prasad to take former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi into his party and declare him the chief ministerial candidate in the coming Assembly election.Talking to the media he said that he had written a letter to Lalu Prasad in this regard.According to him Manjhi has become the voice of Dalit and downtrodden; so going to election without him would amount to loss for the RJD.

Pappu reminded as to how Lalu himself recently called Manjhi a good man.The Madhepura MP has always been following an independent line on Manjhi. He supports the former CM in his campaign against Nitish Kumar, even though Lalu has been backing the latter.

But Pappu is not alone in his party. Former Union minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, a senior RJD leader, too has been backing Manjhi.
