Nitish seeks more investments in Bihar


Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said his government would draw a policy on the basis of input provided by young entrepreneurs to promote industries.


Inaugurating the Second Industrialists Conference organized by Bihar Entrepreneurs Association at Adhiveshan Bhawan he urged entrepreneurs to make Bihar their destination. Nitish asked them to discuss with a team of senior government officials under Principal Secretary Industries Tripurari Sharan on how to proceed further.


He said that youths of Bihar have great potential and needed opportunity to excel. They are migrating from the state as they are not getting appropriate opportunity.Speaking on the occasion industries minister Shyam Rajak said not more than two per cent of population could be provided government jobs. He laid emphasis on small and cottage industries which would provide employment opportunity and
enhance income in rural areas.


In all 200 entrepreneurs, besides experts from IITs and IIMs attended the conference.Incidentally, Bihar has witnessed a decline in investment in the last few years.
