SuMo, Nand Kishore differ over understanding Lalu’s sarcasm

Patna,(BiharTimes): As in the media, so in the BJP leadership many people failed to actually appreciate the real meaning of statement of RJD chief Lalu Prasad on mass copying. The problem is that like those in the field of journalism there are several politicians who first aired their view than applied their mind over the intended satire in Lalu’s speech.Of all the persons, it is the leader of opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council, Sushil Kumar Modi, who agreed with Lalu Prasad on the issue of open book system in examination.

He told reporters that open book system in examination is prevalent in prominent universities in the United States and elsewhere in the world. It has the logic that only student who has read the book could trace the answer. Two days back, former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi also said the same thing.

However, SuMo said use of book in exam is a separate issue and could not be mixed with rampant cheating in ongoing matriculation exam.He said that the mass copying has badly tarnished the image of Bihar globally though the Nitish Kumar government is trying to highlight the glory of Bihar through Bihar Diwas celebrations.

But the leader of opposition in Legislative Assembly Nand Kishore Yadav––also of the BJP––took a totally different view of Lalu’s statement. He said it reflected the way government was running with the help of RJD and Congress.Similarly Bihar BJP’s chief spokesman, Vinod Narayan Jha, MLA, said it was enough to prove that Lalu Prasad has not changed. Jungle raj is in his DNA.

May be, after reading the statement of SuMo, also a bitter critic of Lalu, other BJP leaders and many gentlemen in the media would actually understand the meaning of sarcasm.
