Bihar CM publicly pulls up senior officials


Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday publicly pulled up senior officials and asked them to change their style of work.Speaking at Skill Conclave: Tranforming Bihar Through Skilling at Maurya Hotel he asked senior bureancrats not to make schemes just on files, but to see that they are implemented.


Keeping in mind that it is election year Nitish told the bureaucrats that they should pull up their socks and not waste time as within a few months Model Code of Conduct would come into force. He said that all the schemes should be completed within scheduled time.He came down heavily on principal secretary, labour department, S Sidhartha for the failure of his department in the skill development programme, which was launched in 2013.


Under this programme five crore people of the state are supposed to acquire skill in the next five years. At present very little work has been done in this direction.Addressing Sidhartha by his name the CM conveyed his displeasure over this delay.Sidhartha, it needs to be recalled, was once a blue-eyed boy of Nitish Kumar and was posted in CM Secretariat.Of late, Nitish Kumar has repeatedly been expressing displeasure at the functioning of senior bureaucrats.The Conclave was organized by Confederation of Indian Industries.
