Nitish in no mood to be ‘politically blackmail’ by Ramai Ram

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar appears in no mood to oblige transport and SC and ST welfare minister Ramai Ram, who on Wednesday evening resigned as minister in charge of the 20-point economic programme committee of East Champaran district.

If Janata Dal (United) sources are to be believed the chief minister is in no mood to be ‘politically blackmailed’ by Ramai Ram, the senior-most Dalit minister in his cabinet. “After all Ramai Ram had played such game in the past too and he had once left the Lalu Prasad cabinet too, but he rejoined the party and became minister,” said a political analyst.

“I will not tolerate politics in this moment of crisis. I had gone to Raxaul and found there was lack of co-ordination in giving relief to earthquake victims. I have sent Vijay, specifically, to improve co-ordination on the spot," Nitish was quoted as saying. So he did not waste a second in accepting Ramai’s resignation.
