Ni-La see no wrong in Ram Gopal’s red signal to merger

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though both the ruling Janata Dal (United) and RJD rank and file appeared somewhat upset over the Sunday’s statement of the Samajwadi Party general secretary, Ram Gopal Yadav, that there is a ‘technical problem’ in the merger of six parties in a huury, yet the leaders of the two parties see no wrong in it.

Both chief minister Nitish Kumar and RJD president Lalu Prasad tried to put up a confident face and see nothing wrong in the statement of the brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav.Lalu said that everyone would cooperate with this decision as there is a ‘technical problem’ in hasty maerger of the two parties in Bihar, which goes for the Assembly election later in the year.

According to Lalu now the Assembly election would be held in alliance between the RJD and JD(U). “Ram Gopalji is a leader of the Samajwadi Party...We will discuss all these technical issues,” he told the
mediapersons.

Nitish Kumar, on the other hand, quoted poet Rahim’s ‘doha’ to substantiate his point that the merger would come at appropriate time. Such things do happen and there is nothing new. Everything is going on well, he told mediapersons on the sidelines of Janata Darbar on Monday.

He denied that differences have cropped up, but said that in democracy one has right to have one’s view. Nitish said that one has to keep patience. State JD(U) chief Vashisth Narayan Singh said that there would be no problem in contesting election in alliance. He has no objection whatsoever in Ram Gopal Yadav’s statement. On the Council election he said that it would take a few more days to take the final decision. Some of the sitting legislators may be replaced, he added.
