IAS Officers’ Association donates Rs 2.65 lakh for quake victims

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): A delegation of IAS Officers’ Association of Bihar on Saturday called on the chief minister Nitish Kumar and donated Rs 2.65 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the earthquake-hit people of the state.

The delegation was led by its president and secretary Vijoy Prakash and Vivek Kumar Singh, respectively. A bunch of cheques was handed over at CM’s residence.Appreciating the gesture Nitish Kumar appealed to the members of other services to follow suit.
The chief minister asked the officials to encourage people to construct earthquake-resistant structure to minimize loss of lives and properties.

Vivek Singh informed the CM that some of the officers had
donated more than their one-day salary.
