Nitish denounces PM’s statement of ‘ashamed of being Indian’

Patna,(BiharTimes): Denouncing prime minister Narendra Modi’s statement in China and South Korea that earlier “Indians were ashamed of being born in the country until he took office” Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar said on Wednesday: “I think every Indian feels proud of being born in India.”

Talking to the media the Bihar chief minister did not stop there. He agreed with Shiv Sena’s strong criticism of Narendra Modi for announcing a credit line of $1 billion to Mongolia.“Even allies are not heard within the NDA…I am in full agreement with the Shiv Sena’s criticism of Prime Minister,” Nitish said in respond to the editorial in ‘Saamna’, its mouthpiece.

‘Saamna’ asked why the prime minister can not show the same eagerness to help the distressed farmers of Maharashtra reeling under debt. It also said the PM’s promise to help Mongolia would only aggravate the pain of the souls of those farmers who committed suicide in the recent past in Maharashtra.
