Not in the race for the post of CM, says dejected Shatrughan  Sinha

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though he said that he is not in the race  for the post of chief minister BJP’s Patna Saheb MP  Shatrughan Sinha appears to be upset over the manner in which  he is being treated by his own party leadership.

Talking to the mediapersons here on Friday he denied that he  is sore because of his non-inclusion in the Narendra Modi  cabinet.

He said that including anyone in the cabinet is the  discretion of the prime minister for whom he has great regard  and respect; but hastened to add that he had the experience  of serving in the Vajpayee government and had a fairly good  record as a Union minister.

However, he was pained at being totally ignored by the party,  which according to him, did not invite him to any function,  meeting, rally or even for campaign though he is a time- tested and loyal party worker.
Though he wished all success to the party he cautioned the  leadership not to take the JD(U)-RJD alliance lightly.

“Our opponents are tried, tested and successful, therefore,  not taken lightly,” he said while indirectly commenting on  the Union minister Uma Bharati’s Thursday statement in  Danapur in which she claimed that the next government would  be of the BJP and that Nitish Kumar can dream of becoming CM  only when he joins the saffron camp.

Shatrughan urged party leadership not to indulge in  personality clash. “We should close our ranks and we are sure  of coming to power,” he added. Shatrughan’s statement may not go down well in a section of  the BJP. Bihari Babu was upset as he was not invited to Amit  Shah’s Ambedkar Jyanti rally. Not only that a poster campaign  was launched against him and he was projected as a “Missing  MP”. Many suspect the hands of a section of BJP in this  campaign.
