Patna,(BiharTimes): Though 22 out of 27 women who won the recently concluded Assembly election belong to the grand alliance parties only two of them could be inducted into the Nitish Kumar cabinet.
They are Manju Verma, JD(U) MLA from Cheria-Bariapur, and Anita Devi, widow of Anand Mohan, RJD leader who died while sharing dais with Lalu Prasad, at a function in Patna early this year.
Anita, who comes from Nonia, an Extremely Backward Caste, defeated BJP senior leader, Rameshwar Chaurasia, in Nokha, Rohtas district.
Manju Verma is a Koeri.
Sixteen out of 28 ministers were not in the outgoing Nitish cabinet, including Manju and Anita.
