Yadavs emerge strong in the grand alliance government

Patna,(BiharTimes): One-fourth of 28 ministers in the Nitish Kumar cabinet are Yadavs, numerically the strongest caste of Bihar.

Interestingly, two of the seven ministers come from one family. Tejaswi Yadav went on to become the deputy chief minister while his elder brother Tej Pratap too got important portfolios.

Apart from them, Chandrika Rai, Ram Vichar Rai, Vijay Kumar Yadav, Chandrashekar are Yadav ministers from RJD quota while Bijendra Prasad Yaddav is from Janata Dal (United).

Several senior Yadav leaders like Narendra Narayan Yadav, who was a senior minister in the last cabinet, Surendra Prasad Yadav, Mudrika Yadav, Lalit Yadav etc could not find berth though they all had served as ministers in the past.

In all 61 Yadavs got elected in the recently concluded election, which is about 25.1 per cent. In this way their representation in the cabinet is appropriate.
