Patna,(BiharTimes): With the election over and Nitish Kumar back in power Amir Subhani returns to the post of Principal Secretary, Home.
The state government on Monday reinstated him to his old post and returned the present incumbent to this post, Sudhir Kumar Rakesh, to the Panchayati Raj Department.
Subhani was shifted after the Election Commission order on September 12 last. He was removed after a complaint made to the EC by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Several other officers, including Patna DM and SSP were also shifted then.
The EC appointed Rakesh as the Home Secretary in Subhani’s place.
Subhani was transferred by the then chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi at the fag end of his tenure. But Nitish brought him back after he took the charge of the state once again in February last.
Subhani, who also holds the charge of General Administration department (GAD), has––barring two interruptions––been on this post for six years.
