Grand alliance leaders flay BJP for humiliating ‘Mahadalit’ Manjhi

Patna,(BiharTimes): Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Janata Dal (United) on Monday strongly denounced the humiliation meted out to ‘Mahadalit’ former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi by BJP.
The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee chief, Ashok Chaudhary, who himself comes from one of the Scheduled Castes community, said that Manjhi was brought to the fold one of the BJP and humiliated. By allot-ting just 20 seats to Hindustani Awam Morcha the BJP has shown how it treats the most backwards among the Mahadalits.
RJD national spokesman Manoj Jha charged that Manjhi was pressurized in close-door to agree to 20 seats. This is simply an insult to the Dalit community. But this does not mean that the alliance would work at the grassroots level. Will the supporters of Ranvir Sena vote for him if they have meted out such a treatment at the time of allotting seats, he asked.
Janata Dal (United) spokesman Rajiv Ranjan too charged the BJP of in-dulging in discrimination while allotting seats to the Mahadalit leader. This is simply condemnable, he said.
