Pappu left in lurch, or has he played his innings?

Patna,(BiharTimes): Suddenly Pappu Yadav has disappeared from the election scene of Bihar. While so much activities are going on in Delhi over seat-sharing adjustment TV channels and newspapers are not asking him as to why is he not demanding any seat in the National Democratic Alliance.

Yes, his name appeared when he threatened that train passengers coming from Manipur would be dragged out and sent back to that north-eastern state in retaliation to agitation launched for Inner Line Permit System. In fact several Pappu’s supporters even searched trains in Bihar, but could not find any Manipuri travellers in them.

The Manipur high court on Friday last sent a notice to Pappu in this regard. Bihar migrants and traders from outside Manipur have strongly denounced Pappu’s action and claimed that Bihari were not targeted by anyone during the agitation.

But back in Bihar why is Pappu, whose wife is a Congress MP, suddenly out of scene from the BJP’s scheme of thing. After finalizing seat adjustment with Ram Vilas Paswan and Upendra Kushwaha the BJP is busy cajoling former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, who is literally on the street. He is not the member of any House, nor has his party got enough seats to contest.

But Pappu, who has done so much for the BJP in recent months, is not bothered to ask for a single seat in the NDA. He was provided Y-category security cover by the Union home ministry and is hovering all over Bihar in a chopper.

Has something suddenly gone wrong?

But analysts are unanimous on one count. JAP had no plan whatsoever to contest in Bihar. Pappu just wanted to keep the BJP bigwigs in good humour for obvious personal reason––pending cses.
Besides, he wanted to damage chief minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad as much as he can. Now he is silently busy probing the possibility of creating another so-called secular front to cut into the vote banks of the grand alliance.

So neither is Pappu making any demand nor is––rather strangely––the media asking any question from him on this count.

Pappu has not been left in lurch. He has played his first innings and waiting for the second innings.
As taking Pappu in the NDA fold would have been inappropriate for the saffron party––which expects overwhelming upper castes votes––the BJP deemed it fit to silently ‘ignore’ him.

After all with Pappu in NDA, the BJP can not afford to launch any campaign against Jungle Raj.
