LJP MP quits party post

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MP, Rama Singh, resigned from the posts of national general secretary and chief whip of the parliamentary party on the plea that he was sidelined from decision making process of the party in the seat-sharing in the NDA. He also quit as party in-charge of Rajasthan.

Several senior party leaders are upset over the manner in which the father-son duo of Ram Vilas and Chirag Paswan held talks on seat-sharing with the BJP.

Rama Singh, who defeated RJD leader and former Union minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh in the last year Lok Sabha election, had recently criticized the party leadership for ignoring him though he had been close to Ram Vilas since the formation of party in November 2000.
