Jitan Ram Manjhi to contest against Bihar Speaker

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi will contest from Imamganj seats in Gaya district against the Speaker of Bihar Assembly, Uday Narayan Chaudhary.

Making this announcement on Sunday the spokesman of Hindustani Awam Morcha, Danish Rizwan, said that this would be apart from Makhdumpur seat Manjhi would be contesting. So now the party would be putting up candidates in 21 instead of 20 seats.

It needs to be recalled that Chaudhary and Manjhi have been at daggers drawn position ever since the latter lost majority in the state Assembly last February. The then chief minister had accused the Speaker of playing into the hands of Nitish Kumar.

Manjhi told the mediapersons that apart from other leaders of the party Sarim Ali, Lovely Anand and Naresh Sao would be contesting on HAM ticket from Belaganj, Seohar and Sheikhpura Assembly constituencies respectively.
