Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, Raghvendra resign from RJD

Patna,(BiharTimes): The national general secretary of Rashtri-ya Janata Dal, Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, along with 50 other party functionaries, including former minister Raghvendra Pratap Singh resigned from the party in protest against the way the party has distributed tickets to what they charged rank out-siders, mafia and opportunits, who have nothing to do with RJD.

Talking to the media national general secretary of RJD, Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, accused Lalu Prasad of ignoring all those who stood behind him through thick and thin.

He said that though he was the general secretary of the party he was not aware as to who is getting ticket and who not. He said that all the senior leaders of the party are upset and are in the process of quitting RJD.

Raghvendra said that Lalu wants BJP to win as he is under pres-sure from the CBI. That is why he distributed tickets to dummy candidates and those who have harmed the party in the past.

He regretted that he was with Lalu Prasad for last several dec-ades, yet he was overlooked.

Raghvendra was among the 13 MLAs who quit the RJD to cross over to jD(U) on the eve of last year Lok Sabha election, but soon returned to the party fold.
