Patna,(BiharTimes): In a big political development senior BJP leader and former minister of Bihar Chandra Mohan Rai on Tuesday resigned from the primary membership of the party.

Talking to the media he alleged that a particular caste is being ignored by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Rai praised the achievements made by chief minister Nitish Kumar in the last 10 years. It was under his chief ministership that Rai had served as minister, but was later dropped.

Rai, who is not in the best of health, reportedly wanted ticket for his son. He has been keeping a low profile for last several months and was a bit upset as the party leadership had ignored him.

Rai is a respected leader and hails from Bhumihar caste. With-out taking its name he accused the BJP of overlooking it.
