Its forward-backward caste war says Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): RJD chief Lalu Prasad kicked off his younger son Tejaswi Yadav's election capaign from Raghopur Assembly constituency on Sunday by playing his Mandal card aggressively declaring this election “ye backward forward ki ladaihai” (it’s a war between backward castes and forward castes).
“You Yadavs, backward and minorities strongly unite and rally behind to ensure defeat of BJP led NDA”Lalu told in his first campaign of his party.

Tejaswai Yadav also addressed the election meeting at  Raghopur along
his father and asked the voters to support him.

This Yadav dominated seat was considered as safest one for the Gen-Next of Prasad family. While his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav is contesting from the neighboring Mahua constituency.

This seat had been considered as his family seat as his mother and former chief minister Rabri Devi used to get elected from here. But in the last assembly election in 2010 she was trounced by the JD (U) candidate Satish Kumar. Now Satish Kumar is a BJP candidate against Yadav as JD (U) offloaded this sitting seat to accommodate Lalu’s son.

Taking a potshot on Lalu his former aide and now BJP minister in centre Ram KripalYadav said,” When other candidates in RJD waited till last moment for getting his party tickets, the candidature of Prasad’s sons were declared about twomonths back. This speaks enough how much Lalu takes care of other party workers.”

Interestingly, Yadav started his party campaign from the constituency of his younger son Tejaswi Yadav who is trying his luck in electoral politics for the first time. Though other parties including JD(U) have started their campaign from the constituencies falling in the first phase but Prasad started his campaign from son’s constituency where election is due in the third phase (28 October).
