Kirti Azad’s wife threatens Darbhanga MP may quit BJP

Patna,(BiharTimes): The wife of suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad on Tuesday threatened that her husband might quit the Bharatiya Janata Party if suspension is not revoked and the former cricketer not taken back into the party.

Talking to the media in Darbhanga, Kirti’s parliamentary constituency, Poonam Azad, said that senior leader are not left in suspension from the party for too long.

“If the BJP does not take any early decision we have other option too,” she added. “I know the party has done wrong, it has done injustice.”

She had all praise for Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar.

Kirti Azad, son of former Bihar chief minister Bhagwat Jha Azad, was suspended from the party a few months back when he raised the issue of corruption in DDCA and directly held Union finance minister Arun Jaitley––who headed the cricketing body for several years––responsible for it.
