Seven caught boozing in posh city-hotel, sent to jail

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): Four businessmen of Patna and three from Gujarat were arrested during a raid in a room of a city-based hotel, The Panache, while they were boozing late on Tuesday night.


The police have lodged FIRs against the owner and entire management of The Panache under relevant Sections of the Bihar Excise (Amendment) Act of 2016.


The hotel is situated south of Gandhi Maidan. In the FIR, apart from the seven persons arrested for consuming liquor, the hotel owner and management personnel have also been made accused as police found a number of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) bottles from room number 308 of the hotel and arrested its seven occupants.


Pradeep Kumar Lohia (51), Ashok Agarwal (36), Rajiv Agarwal (43) and Sanjay Kumar Poddar (47) belong to Patna while Shailesh Saraf (40), Sachin Agarwal (37) and Sanjay Tekriwal (44), all natives of Surat, Gujarat.
