BSEB Science third topper arrested from Vaishali

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Patna Police on Wednesday arrested Rahul Kumar, who had secured third rank in ISc conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) early this year.

Rahul was later sent to jail by a local vigilance court as he is a major.

According to police Rahul was arrested from his uncle (phupha) Durgesh Singh’s house at Chakangola village under Chandpur police outpost area in Vaishali district. He had been hiding for the past one month in this village.

Patna SSP Manu Mahraaj said Rahul revealed that the deal to make him third topper was struck for Rs five lakh. Half of the sum was paid before the results and the rest was to be paid after that.

A hunt is on to arrest his father Sanjay Kumar Singh
