Nitish government puts on hold interview of Assistant Professors

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government on Saturday asked the Bihar Public Service Commission to put on hold the ongoing recruitment process for 3,364 odd Assistant Professors in 41 subjects for 250-odd constituent colleges and postgraduate departments.

The decision came after Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav called for 80 per cent reservation for the post for Biharis as in several subjects, especially English, candidates from outside the state have got selected.

Lalu’s demand was supported by BJP and other parties too.

Education Minister Ashok Choudharysaid that the state government had asked the BPSC to put on hold the interview being carried out for appointment of Assistant Professors for various subjects in the universities.

BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi had also backed Lalu’s demand and had urged Nitish Kumar government to stop the ongoing interview of BPSC.
