Patna,(BiharTimes): The Aurangabad district president of Hindustani Awam Morcha, Ajay Kumar Singh,was on Wednesday arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Intermediate toppers scam in Bihar.
The police also recovered 19 blank answer sheets from him.
The SIT team from Patna arrested him with the help of local police from his residence at Yodhanagar Colony of Aurangabad.
According to police a car was also seized from the HAM leader’s house. He has been brought to Patna for further interrogation.
The arrest of Ajay has come as an embarrassment for HAM as well as the other NDA constituents, as apart from former JD(U) MLA, Usha Sinha, the wife of disgraced BSEB chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, he is the only politician who so far figures in the scam.
