Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Thursday said that it is unfortunate that so many people lost their lives after consuming spurious liquor in Gopalganj on Independence Day evening.
He said that it must be inquired as to how this had happened even after the strict imposition of prohibition
.
The RJD chief said that he would soon be visiting Gopalganj, which is also his home district.
On the other hand Union minister and BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav said that chief minister Nitish Kumar is directly responsible for the death of 15 people in hooch tragedy in Gopalganj.
“If a mukhiya can be held responsible after the recovery of liquour anywhere in his village, the chief minister should be responsible for the death of so many people after drinking spurious liquor,” the BJP leader said.
