RJD chief appeals to people to give up alcoholism

Patna,(BiharTimes): Justifying the action taken against the police officials after the hooch tragedy in Gopalganj district  Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Friday appealed to the people, especially  those coming from the weaker section of the society, to give up the habit of alcoholism as it destroys the entire family.

Commenting on the loss of so many lives he said that the tragedy had come as a lesson not only to those addicted to liquor but to all those who are opposing it. Now the people would understand the importance of prohibition.

In contrast his party’s vice president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh flayed the state government for taking action against poor and disempowered people and not against the rich and powerful ones. He once again flayed the stringent excise law.
