Lalu, disaster management minister tour flood-hit districts

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad along with state’s disaster management minister, Chandrashekar, on Friday made an aerial survey of the flood affected districts of Seemanchal and Kosi region of Bihar.

Later, while talking to a section of media, the minister ensured full help to the affected people.



He said that flood water has entered 30 to 40 houses in affected villages of Katihar, Purnea, Supaul districts etc,.

Chandrashekar, who comes from RJD, said his party chief, Lalu Prasad, too has extended full cooperation to the flood victims.

Earlier, Lalu reached Chapra, where, among other things, he paid a visit to the family of a local party leader, who died early this week.

Chapra and other blocks of Saran districts were rocked by communal violence on August 5-6 last.

Chief minister Nitish Kumar had, a few days back,  also made an aerial survey of the flood hit villages of north-east Bihar.
