Ram Kripal’s boat caught in Ganga’s fury

Patna,(BiharTimes): The NDRF boat in which the Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav was travelling to reach the flood affected villages of Maner block of Patna district got stuck in the middle of river Ganga on Monday. Maner falls in Patliputra constituency, which is represented in Lok Sabha by the Minister.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel got into the water and pushed the boat to the bank of the river.

The Union Minister, along with a team of doctors, visited Chihantar, Rampur, Ratan Tola, Dudhaila and Haldi Chapra villages in the riverine area in an NDRF boat.

Later Ram Kripal alleged that relief and rehabilitation work is not reaching the people who are stranded. There is an immediate need of medical assistance in the flood-affected villages.

The Minister further said that the state government was limiting itself to just relief camps and was not reaching out to the people stuck in remote areas.

He said there is an acute shortage of milk for children, drinking water and dry food items.
