Buxar DM orders probe into reports of conversion of Dalits into Christainity
Patna,(BiharTimes): The district magistrate of Buxar, Raman Kumar, has ordered an investigation into the report of alleged conversion of some 500 Dalits into Christianity at Chaugain village under Dumraon sub-division of the district. It is the native village of former chief minister Harihar Singh. He was the chief minister of the state for four months in 1969.
The district magistrate said action would be taken if it was established that the Dalits were converted under pressures or offering allurements.
The news of alleged conversion was carried by a couple of newspapers and TV channels.
