Usha’s release a setback to SITprobing topper' scam
Patna,(BiharTimes): Two days after Usha Sinha walked out of the Beur Central Jail Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Patna, Manu Maharaaj, who is heading the special investigation team (SIT) probing the case, said he would review the case to ascertain what went wrong in the court, which benefitted the accused.
It is certainly a matter of worry for the SSP as the police had approached the court to conduct the trial on a priority basis.
“I had written a letter to the board of the state’s public prosecutors requesting that only an able and efficient public prosecutor be engaged to represent the state in the topper scam case,” he was quoted in The Telegraph as saying.
