Boy, 4 friends land in jail after posting picture with whisky bottle on Facebook
Patna,(BiharTimes): Vicky Arya, a Class-XII student of a Biharsharif College and four of his friends landed in jail in Monday after he posted on Facebook a picture with a half-consumed whisky bottle. He had captioned it: “Party all night”.
The picture was posted in the wee hours of Monday and he was arrested later in the day.
Reports from Biharsharif said that someone tagged Nalanda superintendent of police (SP) Kumar Ashish in the picture. The SP came across it while surfing Facebook.
The police swung into action after the SP ascertained the veracity of the image.
The SP constituted a police team headed by a DSP rank officer and ordered the search for the man who had uploaded the photograph. After detecting the mobile phone number from which the picture had been posted, the police put the number on surveillance and managed to trace Vicky.
After his arrest the other four friends were also caught from Nalanda and Patna.
Reports also said that medical tests confirmed they had consumed alcohol.
The other four arrested youths were identified as Kakku, Rajesh Kumar, Vikas Kumar and Sonu. Kakku is a resident of Beldarichak village under the jurisdiction of Gaurichak police station in Patna district.
The five were produced before a Biharsharif court on Monday, and were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
The arrested youths, according to police, did not have criminal antecedents.
