Toppers’ scam accused killed while being caught by police
Patna,(BiharTimes): A case has been lodged against Sub-Inspector Devkant and his team after the body of 50-year-old Diwakar Prasad, an accused in BSEB toppers’ scam, was found dead in front of his Panchwati Nagar home in Patna on Thursday

While Prasad’s son, Vicky alleged that the police, sent to arrest him, had pushed him off the roof, the police said that he had jumped off the building in a bid to avoid being caught.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaaj, who is heading the SIT probing the scam, said a case has been registered at the Bahardurpur Police Station against the team led by Sub-Inspector Devkant, who had gone to arrest Prasad. The case was based on a complaint filed by Prasad’s relatives.
“Action will be initiated against the police personnel if the allegations are found to be true,” Maharaaj was quoted in The Telegraph.
He added that they would examine CCTV footage from buildings near the site where Prasad was found.
