Lalu calls RJD office-bearers meet on Dec 17 to discuss NaMo’s latest ‘jumla’

Patna,(BiharTimes): Terming prime minister Narendra Modi’s stress on cashless transaction as another ‘jumla’ (sentence) RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Sunday called a meeting of all its MPs, former MPs, legislators, former legislators, state office-bearers, members of the state executive body and district presidents on December 17 to take their feedback on the hardship being faced by common people after the demonetisation on November 8.

Talking to a section of media on Saturday he said Narendra Modi was now talking about cashless economy and cashless transactions just to divert people's attention from the Centre’s utter failure on the issue of demonetisation.

He said hardly 20 per cent people in India can do cashless transactions. Rest live in rural areas and are not familiar with cashless transactions.

Lalu said cashless economy is not practical in many parts of the country as majority of the villages are still out of the banking system.

The meeting would be held at the official bungalow of former CM Rabri Devi.
