Patna,(BiharTimes): Three motor-cycle borne criminals killed a local LJP leader of Raghopur near Kachi Dargah, a few kilometres from Patna City, late on Friday afternoon.

While Brijnathi Singh died on the spot his wife and his brother’s wife, who were travelling on the same vehicle, sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital.

Eye-witnesses said that the criminals used AK-47s and at least six rounds were fired.
According to ADG (Headquarters) Munna Singh gang is involved in the killing which was the outcome of personal rivalry.

He said that Brijnathi was dismissed from police while he was posted in Supaul district several years back. There were several serious cases pending against him too. He also said that the killing has come as a challenge to Patna Police and with the help of Vaishali Police would soon solve the case.

Police said that family members have blamed Munna Singh for the killing.
Incidentally, Raghopur is represented by deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav in the state Assembly.
