Patna(BiharTimes): Bihar Health Minister and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav called Ishrat Jahan Bihar’s daughter.

Tej’s statement came a day after terror Pakistani-American terrorist David Headley claimed that Ishrat Jahan was an operative of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba and a LeT suicide bomber.

The health minister agreed that CM Nitish Kumar’s statement on calling Ishrat Jahan ‘Bihar ki Beti’ is right.

Nitish Kumar’s statement came shortly after she died in an encounter with the Gujarat Police in 2004.

Later on, Ali Anwar, another JD (U) leader had said, “Ishrat Jahan was a daughter of Bihar and people from Bihar believe in fighting for truth. She will get justice; we will get it for her.”

This comes at a time when the BJP’s leaders in Bihar demanded CM Nitish Kumar’s apology for describing her as a “daughter of Bihar”.

Union minister Giriraj Singh said Nitish Kumar had played with national security for the sake of vote bank politics regarding Ishrat Jahan’s alleged encounter on June 15, 2004.
