What prompted BJP to form govt in J&K with those who hail Afzal Guru as martyr: Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Wednesday asked prime minister Narendra Modi to explain as to what prompted the Bharatiya Janata Party to join hands to form government with those who openly hail Afzal Guru as a Shaheed (martyr).

Referring to the PDP-BJP alliance in Jammu and Kashmir he said that everyone in the country knows with whom these people had formed government.

Opening the mouth for the first time on JNU controversy he said why no case of sedition was lodged against BJP president Amit Shah for saying that if the grand alliance wins in Bihar crackers would be burst in Pakistan. What type of statement he gave? How can he say so? Is not it an anti-national act?
Calling Kanhaiya Kumar ‘Bihar ka ladka’ (a boy from Bihar) Lalu said he and D Raja’s daughter in fact went to stop those who were shouting slogans against India. False words were put into their mouths, the RJD chief alleged.

He strongly denounced the arrest of and attack on Kanhaiya and said that the Sangh Parivar people can set on fire the entire country.

RJD chief said as to how can one justify or support the slogans against India whether it is on JNU or Jadavpur University campus, but how can it be used to destroy the entire institution.

“Is Kanhaiya ‘bewakoof’ (a fool) that he would raise slogan against India. Why not get the whole issue probed by a joint parliamentary committee?” he said.

He said that all these situations have been created because the BJP government had failed on all front, especially economic. Attempts are being made to distract the attention of the people from the real issue, the RJD chief said.

He said JNU is known as an university of progressive minded people. They follow different views. All efforts should be made to preserve it.
