Patna,(BiharTimes): Begusarai observed bandh (shutdown) on Tuesday in protest against the arrest of the president of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union, Kanhaiya Kumar.

People shouted slogans against home minister Rajnath Singh and Sangh Parivar’s design to what they allege close down the JNU.

Kanhaiya originally hails from Bihat village near Barauni in Begusarai district. They called upon the Narendra Modi government to stop attack on JNU.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Left parties’ called on governor Ramnath Kovind and submitted a petition to him. They called for immediate halt to the witch-hunting against students of JNU.
