One of seven terror victims is from Sitamarhi district in Bihar


Patna,(BiharTimes): One of the seven army personnel killed in Pathankot attack on Saturday, Rajiv Kumar alias Raja, is a native of Balha village under Pupari block of the Sitamarhi district. He is survived by his wife and a two-year-old son.

His father Ashok Thakur is posted at Lalpania thermal power station in Jharkhand as a clerk. He reached home after hearing the news on Sunday night.

According to the grandfather of the deceased soldier, Surendra Narayan Thakur, the family received the news from a relative Vinod Thakur of Muzaffarpur on Saturday night. Rajiv had come to his ancestral house to observe Chhath with the family in November last.

Rajiv had joined the Indian Army in 2008. He got married in 2009. His younger brother Ranjan Kumar is an engineer in the United States.
