SuMo flays Lalu’s ‘inspection’ of IGIMS

Patna,(BiharTimes): BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday asked CM Nitish Kumar to explain how could Lalu Prasad inspect a government hospital and give instructions to its officials.

Modi said Lalu's son Tej Pratap Yadav is the health minister. He was absent on the plea of being unwell when questions related to his department were raised in the Bihar Legislative Council. Now his father is inspecting IGIMS.

Sushil Modi said Nitish must make Lalu the Super CM by designating him the chairman of an advisory council in the same manner as former prime minister Manmohan Singh had designated Congress president Sonia Gandhi in UPA regime.

According to him Lalu is trying to prove Nitish has failed and is getting directly involved in governance. If allowed, Lalu will not hesitate in chairing cabinet meetings.

As reported during the inspection on Sunday evening Lalu had called IGIMS director Dr N K Biswas and asked him to improve the facilities. He also assured the director that he would push the demands of the IGIMS if they were presented before the principal secretary by the director.

However, while defending RJD chief’s action JD(U) spokesman Sanjay Singh said Lalu Prasad is the leader of grand alliance. In that capacity, he can visit a government hospital. He did not give any official instruction.
